April/May 1962 UK concert tour program (3rd British tour)

Original vintage concert program produced for American jazz trumpeter and singer Louis Armstrong’s April/May 1962 British tour, presented by Harold Davison. This was Armstrong’s only third British tour, with the first two coming in 1956 and 1959. The All-Stars for the 1962 European tour featured trombonist Trummy Young, clarinetist Joe Darensbourg, pianist Billy Kyle, bassist Billy Cronk, drummer Danny Barcelona, and singer Jewel Brown.

In original illustrated uncoated wrappers, staple bound, 21.0 x 26.7 cm, 20 pp. Program notes by jazz critic Benny Green. In excellent complete condition, tightly bound and clean. Appears unread. Additional images of the program available on request.
