August/September 1953 European concert tour program
Original vintage concert program for American jazz pianist, composer, and arranger Stan Kenton’s August–September 1953 European tour with American singer June Christy, presented by Heinz Hoffmeister in cooperation with Harold Davison. The tour kicked off in Copenhagen on 22nd August and ended in Kaiserslautern on 17th September, 1953. At the time, Kenton’s orchestra included saxophonists Zoot Sims and Lee Konitz.
In original b/w pictorial coated wrappers, staple bound, 21.3 x 29.9 cm, 12 pp. All text in German. Light wear to spine and extremities, else in near excellent condition, tightly bound and clean. Additional photos available on request.
