Grugahalle, Essen April 1979 concert poster
Large original first printing concert poster advertising Dutch progressive rock group Ekseption at the Grugahalle in Essen [Germany] on Friday, 17th April, 1979, presented by Hegmann & Struwe. The show in Essen was part of their tour in support of the Ekseption ’78 album, their first since the group disbanded in 1976. Produced by Rein van den Broek and Rick van der Linden, the album was released in October 1978 on Decca Records.
The poster measures 59.0 x 83.7 cm (approx. 23.2″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. There is a faint horizontal fold line to the middle of the poster and a small diagonal crease to the bottom right corner, else in remarkably near excellent unfolded condition.
