1978 Japanese Chrysalis Records promo poster for “Broken Heart”
Original first printing The Babys promotional poster issued by Chrysalis Records in Japan in 1978 to promote the release of the Broken Heart album – their second studio album, produced by Ron Nevison, and originally released on 9th September, 1977 by Chrysalis Records. The song “Isn’t It Time” was a huge hit and reached #13 on the Billboard Hot 100. Written by Jack Conrad and Ray Kennedy, the song was a departure from the group’s desire to only play their own material. Broken Heart was later released as a double album with the self-titled album The Babys. The poster features a photo of the band credited to Charles Bush. The poster was promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.
The poster measures 72.7 x 51.2 cm (approx. 28.6″ by 20.2″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock.
