Niedersachsenhalle, Hannover May 1974 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising English progressive rock group Nektar at the Niedersachsenhalle in Hannover [Germany] on Tuesday, 28th May, 1974, presented by Sunrise, and with Scottish songwriter and folk musician Jackie Leven (1950–2011) John St. Fields as special guest. The show in Hannover was part of the band’s nationwide tour of Germany during June 1974 in support of Remember the Future – their fourth studio album, produced by Peter Hauke, and released on 23rd November, 1973 on Bacillus (Bellaphon). Much like their debut album, Journey to the Centre of the Eye, it is a concept album which is formally divided into ten tracks but in fact consists of one continuous piece of music.
The poster measures 85.9 x 61.0 cm (approx. 33.8″ by 24″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. There is a pin hole to each corner and light edge wear to the bottom right corner, else in remarkably near excellent unfolded condition.
