Stadthalle, Offenbach November 1980 concert poster

Original first printing concert poster advertising the Charlie Daniels Band at the Stadthalle in Offenbach [Germany] on Wednesday, 26th November, 1980, in support of the Full Moon album, the band’s seventh studio album, produced by John Boylan and released on 18th July, 1980 on Epic Records. Featuring the hit singles “In America” and “The Legend of Wooley Swamp”, the album was dedicated to Tommy Caldwell from the Marshall Tucker Band, who had died earlier in 1980. In January 1980 Daniels suffered a major arm injury, while digging fence post holes on his farm near Mount Juliet, Tennessee. He suffered three complete breaks in his right arm, and two broken fingers. Although the injury required surgery, Daniels was fit again for the recording of Full Moon and the European tour. Billed as “Country Rock’s Finest”, the band at the time featured Charlie Daniels (guitar, fiddle, vocals), Tom Crain (guitar, vocals), Taz DiGregorio (keyboards, vocals), Fred Edwards (drums, percussion), Charles Hayward (bass), and James W. Marshall (drums, percussion).

The poster measures 84.2 x 59.2 cm (approx. 33.1″ by 23.3″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. In excellent unfolded and unmarked condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the poster available on request.
