ICC, Berlin December 1980 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising Scottish singer-songwriter Al Stewart at the ICC in Berlin [Germany] on Wednesday, 17th December, 1980, presented by Sunrise Concertbüro in cooperation with Albatros Concert. The concert in Berlin was part of Stewart’s nationwide tour of Germany during December 1980 in support of the 24 Carrots album — his ninth studio album, produced by Stewart himself with Chris Desmond and released on 20th August, 1980 by RCA Records. It was Stewart’s first album with his new band Peter White’s Shot in the Dark. Containing the single “Midnight Rocks”, the album reached #37 on the Billboard 200. Despite the hit single, the album sold less well than its two immediate predecessors, Year of the Cat (1976) and Time Passages (1978).
The poster measures 59.2 x 83.8 cm (approx. 23.3″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. In excellent unfolded and unmarked condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the poster available on request.
