Philharmonie, Munich November 2017 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising American jazz pianist, keyboardist, bandleader, and composer Herbie Hancock at the Philharmonie in Munich [Germany] on Wednesday, 29th November, 2017, accompanied by multi-instrumentalist Terrace Martin, bassist James Genus, and drummer Trevor Lawrence. The concert in Munich was the last stop on this tour, which commenced at the Forum Karlin in Prague on 9th November, also visiting Groningen, Holland (11th Nov), The Barbican in London (13th & 14th Nov), Stavanger, Norway (16th Nov), Kristiansand, Norway (17th Nov), Bærum, Norway (18th Nov), Berlin, Germany (21st Nov), Essen, Germany (23rd Nov), Wroclaw, Poland (26th Nov), and Lucerne, Switzerland (27th Nov). This was the second time Hancock visited Europe this year, having already played a number of concerts during June and July. The poster features a photo by Canadian-born American photographer Douglas Kirkland.
The poster measures 59.3 x 83.9 cm (approx. 23.3″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, dull-coated paper stock. Folded horizontally at the middle, else in excellent condition.
