Palais des Beaux-Arts, Brussels March 1956 concert flyer
Original first printing double-sided concert flyer advertising “Jazz At The Beaux-Arts” staged at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels [Belgium] on Sunday, 18th March, 1956, featuring Claude Luter, Jack Redler’s Rhythm Club and Maxim Saury with soloists Bill Coleman, Albert Nicholas, Peanuts Holland and Nelson Williams.
The flyer measures 20.9 x 15.0 cm and is beautifully printed in green and black inks on medium-thin, smooth-finish paper stock. These unique Belgium flyers were mailed to members of the Belgian Hot Club as well as used as window cards in nearby theaters, shops and businesses as a promotional tool with the primary purpose of selling tickets. Ticket prices were 100 Belgian francs, while members of the H.C.B. would get a 20 franc discount.
