September/October 1972 Japanese concert tour program
Large original vintage program book lavishly produced for American jazz tenor saxophonist Sonny Rollins’ Sept/Oct 1972 Japanese tour, accompanied by percussionist Mtume, guitarist Yoshiaki Masuo, bassist Bob Crenshaw, and drummer David Lee. This was around the time of the release of Next Album — his first album after ending his six-year retirement. Produced by Orrin Keepnews, Next Album was his first to be released on the Milestone label.
In original, red and black pictorial coated wrappers, staple bound, 25.5 x 36.3 cm, 24 pp. All text in Japanese. Light wear to spine and extremities, else in near excellent condition, tightly bound and clean. Additional photos available on request.
