Original vintage concert program for American jazz vibraphonist, pianist, percussionist, and bandleader Lionel Hampton’s lengthy European tour during February, March and April 1961 with an ensemble that included Dave Gonzales, Floyd Jones, Andrew Wood, Vergil Jones (trumpet); Robert Plater, John Neely (alto); Andrew McGhee, Edward T. Pazant (tenor); Lonnie Shaw (baritone); Vincent Prudente, Haleem Rasheed (trombone); Harold Mayburn (piano); Wayne Robinson (drums); Lawrence Burgan (bass); Roland Faulkner (guitar); Pinnochio James and Bertice Reading (vocals). The program has been authentically signed by Virgil Jones, Lonnie Shaw, Harold Mayburn, Wayne Robinson, Edward Pazant, and Floyd Jones.
In original orange and black pictorial wrappers, staple bound, 24.2 x 22.1 cm, 16 pp. Bilingual edition with program notes in both German and English. Light wear to spine and extremities, else in near excellent condition, tightly bound and clean. Additional photos available on request.
