January/February 1975 Japanese concert tour program
Large original concert program produced for American singer-songwriter and musician Stevie Wonder’s January/February 1975 Japanese tour, presented by Asia Enterprise as part of their prestigious “Nikkan Golden Concert” series. The 5-date tour commenced with two consecutive shows at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo on 29th & 30th January, and ended at the Welfare Pension Hall in Osaka on 3rd February, 1975. Wonder arrived in Japan riding a wave of massive global acclaim following his consecutive landmark albums, Talking Book (1972), Innervisions (1973), and Fulfillingness’ First Finale (1974). The tour also brought together music royalty behind the scenes; during the Tokyo leg, Stevie Wonder held highly publicized press events alongside other R&B and jazz greats who were visiting or crossing paths in Japan at the time, including Gladys Knight and George Benson.
In original illustrated coated wrappers, staple bound, 25.8 x 36.2 cm, 40 pp. All text in Japanese. In near excellent complete condition, tightly bound and clean.
