Olympiahalle, Munich October 1977 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising British rock group Wishbone Ash at the Olympiahalle in Munich [Germany] on Saturday, 1st October, 1977, presented by Interteam Tour Promotion, and with Country Joe McDonald and Steve Hillage also on the bill. The show in Munich was the last stop on the band’s eleven-date German tour during September and October in support of the Front Page News album. Produced by Ron Albert and Howard Albert, the album was released in October 1977 by MCA. Mostly made up of slower, breezy soft rock with lush vocal harmonies, the album marked a direct contrast to the raw live feel of New England (1976). Peaking at #31 on the UK Album chart, Front Page News was the band’s eighth studio album.
The poster measures 59.3 x 84.6 cm (approx. 23.3″ by 33.3″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock.
