February 1975 Japanese concert tour program

Large original vintage concert program lavishly produced for British rock group Wishbone Ash’s February 1975 Japanese tour, presented Udo Artists, Inc. The 5-date tour commenced at the City Public Hall in Nagoya on 18th February, and ended with three consecutive shows at the Sun Plaza Hall in Tokyo on 20th, 21st & 23rd February, 1975. Promoted in February 1975, this tour, the band’s first visit to Japan, was highly anticipated by Japanese rock fans. It was launched to support their fifth studio album, There’s the Rub, which was released late the previous year. The tour served as the grand Japanese introduction of guitarist Laurie Wisefield (formerly of the progressive rock band Home). Wisefield had the massive task of replacing co-founding guitarist Ted Turner, solidifying the highly revered “Mark II” lineup of the band alongside Andy Powell, Martin Turner, and Steve Upton.

In original illustrated dull-coated wrappers, staple bound, 25.5 x 36.3 cm, 28 pp. All text in Japanese. Light wear to spine and extremities, else in near excellent complete condition, tightly bound and clean.
