Salle Pleyel, Paris October 1954 concert program 

Original vintage concert program for American jazz singer Sarah Vaughan (1924–1990) at the famous Salle Pleyel in Paris [France] on Monday, 11th October, 1954, with jazz tenor saxophonists Coleman Hawkins (1904–1969) and Illinois Jacquet (1922–2004) also on the bill. The concert in Paris was part of a package tour that originally should have included Charlie Parker had it not been for his suicide attempt the previous month. Coleman Hawkins was called in as a replacement for Bird.

In original red and black coated wrappers, staple bound, 21.1 x 26.9 cm, 12 pp. All text in French. Very light wear and age toning to spine and extremities, otherwise tightly bound and clean without further markings. Additional photos available on request.
