Stadthalle, Karlsruhe March 1974 concert poster (Kieser)

Original first printing concert poster advertising British rock group Traffic at the Stadthalle in Karlsruhe [Germany] on Tuesday, 19th March, 1974, presented by Lippmann+Rau, and with Sutherland Bros & Quiver as special guests. The German tour was primarily set up to promote the release of On the Road – a live album which coincidentally had been recorded in Germany the previous year. By the end of 1974 after releasing When the Eagle Flies, Traffic disbanded when Winwood walked off stage in the middle of what would prove the band’s final show at the Auditorium Theater in Chicago on 27th October, 1974. The poster features striking artwork by Günther Kieser, with the artist’s imprint to the lower left side border.

The poster measures 59.9 x 83.8 cm (approx. 23.6″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. There is a tack hole to each corner, else in excellent unfolded condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the poster available on request.
