September/October 1971 UK concert tour flyer
Original first printing concert flyer advertising British rock group Ten Years After’s September/October 1971 nationwide tour of Great Britain, in support of A Space in Time — the band’s sixth studio album, produced by Chris Wright and released on 18th October, 1971. A departure in style from their previous albums, A Space in Time is less ‘heavy’ than previous albums and includes more acoustic guitar, perhaps influenced by the success of Led Zeppelin who were mixing acoustic songs with heavier numbers. It reached number 17 on the Billboard 200. Presented by Chrysalis, the tour commenced at the Colston Hall in Bristol on 14th September and endend at the Town Hall in Birmingham on 4th October. Special guests on the tour were Supertramp and English singer-songwriter Keith Christmas.
The flyer measures 22.8 x 17.0 cm (approx. 9″ by 6.7″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. In excellent unfolded and unmarked condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the flyer available on request.
