Stadthalle, Germersheim December 1972 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising British rock group Status Quo at the Stadthalle in Germersheim [Germany] on Thursday, 14th December, 1972, presented by MAMA Concerts and with Blues Session as special guests. Status Quo were touring in support of the Piledriver album, produced by the band members themselves and released on 15th December, 1972. Piledriver was the band’s first album on the Vertigo label after their departure from Pye Records. Containing the hit single “Paper Plane”, the album peaked at #5 in the UK charts.
The poster measures 59.2 x 83.9 cm (approx. 23.3″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. A very faint horizontal fold to the middle and a tiny rip to the bottom border, else in excellent condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item.
