Festhalle, Frankfurt February 1979 concert poster

Original first printing concert poster advertising British rock group Status Quo at the Festhalle in Frankfurt [Germany] on Saturday, 3rd February, 1979, presented by Marcel Avram and Marek Lieberberg’s MAMA Concerts. The concert in Frankfurt was part of the band’s extensive twenty-date German tour during January and February, in support of the If You Can’t Stand the Heat album, commencing at the Ostseehalle in Kiel on 16th January and ending with two shows at the Rudi Sedlmayer Halle in Munich on 8th and 9th February, 1979. Additional musicians on the tour were keyboard player Andy Bown and harmonica player Bob Young. Recorded at Wisseloord Studios in Hilversum, Holland and produced by Pip Williams, If You Can’t Stand the Heat was the band’s eleventh studio album. Released in October 1978 and containing the singles “Again and Again” and “Accident Prone”, the album reached #3 on the UK Album chart.

The poster measures 59.3 x 83.8 cm (approx. 23.3″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. In excellent unfolded and unfolded condition.
