November 1975 Japanese concert tour program
Large original vintage program book lavishly produced for American jazz tenor saxophonist Sonny Rollins’ November 1975 Japanese tour. Upon returning in 1971 after another two-year sabbatical, he began courting a new muse with a series of Milestone releases that bridged the gap between straight ahead jazz, fusion and contemporary music. For the 1975 Japanese tour he was accompanied by electric bassist James Benjamin, drummer Eddie Moore, guitarist Nathan Page, and conga player Robert Kenyatta.
In original, pictorial coated wrappers, staple bound, 25.7 x 36.4 cm, 24 pp. All text in Japanese. Light wear to spine and extremities, else in near excellent condition, tightly bound and clean. Additional photos available on request.
