March 1977 European concert tour program

Original vintage concert program produced for American drummer and band leader Buddy Rich’s tour of continental Europe during March 1977. Presented by Bo Johnson, the tour commenced at the Sala Kongresowa in Warsaw on 1st March and ended at the famous Montmartre in Copenhagen on 30th March, 1977. The band for the European tour featured David Stahl, Dean Pratt, Ross Konikoff, John Marshall (trumpets); Rick Stepton, Clinton Sharman, David Boyle (trombones); Alan Gauvin, Dean Palanzo, Steve Marcus, Bob Mintzer, Mauro Turso (saxophones); Barry Kiener (keyboards); Joshua Rich (guitar); and Thomas Warrington (bass). With many of these musicians, Rich recorded the Buddy Rich Plays and Plays and Plays album, released by RCA Records in 1977. As the title would suggest, the album Europe 77, released in 1993 on the UK label Magic, was recorded on this tour.
