Palais des Beaux-Arts, Brussels November 1971 concert flyer


Original double-sided first printing concert flyer advertising American jazz drummer and bandleader Buddy Rich (1917–1987) at at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels [Belgium] on Sunday, 28th November, 1971. The show in Brussels was part of Rich’s European tour during November and December in support of A Different Drummer, recorded at RCA Studio C in New York City during July and August 1971, and produced by Pete Spargo. The orchestra for the European tour featured Brian Grivna, Jimmy Mosher, Pat La Barbera, Don Englert, Joe Calo (saxophones); Lin Biviano, John DeFlon, Wayne Naus, Jeff Stout (trumpets); Bruce Paulson, Tony DiMaggio, John Leys (trombones); Bobby Peterson (piano); David Spinozza (guitar); Bob Daugherty (bass); Candido Camero (bongos, conga); and Phil Kraus (percussion).

The flyer measures 12.0 x 17.9 cm (approx. 4.7″ by 7″ inches) and is beautifully printed in blue and black inks on thin, coated paper stock.
