Original first printing concert poster advertising Canadian singer Anne Murray (1945) at the City Hall in Nagoya [Japan] on Saturday, 4th June, 1977, presented by Kyodo. The show in Nagoya was part of Murray’s Japanese tour during June 1977 in support of the Keeping in Touch album – her twelfth studio album, produced by Tom Catalano, and originally released in September 1976 on Capitol Records. The album peaked at #96 on the Billboard 200 and stayed on the chart for 6 weeks. Murray was the first Canadian female solo singer to reach #1 on the U.S. charts and also the first to earn a Gold record for one of her signature songs, “Snowbird” (1970). She is often cited as one of the female Canadian artists who paved the way for other international Canadian success stories such as k.d. land, Céline Dion, and Shania Twain. She has won four Grammys, including the Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 1979.
The poster measures 51.3 x 72.8 cm (approx. 20.2″ by 28.7″ inches) and is beautifully printed on medium-thin, coated paper stock.
