Original vintage concert program book for the 2nd Annual Monterey Jazz Festival held at the Monterey County Fairgrounds in Monterey from 2nd to 4th October, 1959. Performing artists included Lambert Hendricks & Ross (Master of Ceremonies), Count Basie, Modern Jazz Quartet, Oscar Peterson Trio, Sarah Vaughan, Earl “Fatha” Hines, Jimmy Witherspoon, Woody Herman, Charlie Byrd & Zoot Sims, Lizzie Miles, Ornette Coleman, Coleman Hawkins, Ben Webster, J. J. Johnson, Quincy Jones and others.
In original pictorial coated wrappers, staple bound, 21.5 x 27.9 cm, 40 pp. One vertical fold down the middle and light wear to spine and extremities, else just about near fine, tightly bound and clean. Additional photos available on request.
