P.E. Janson, Brussels October 1978 concert poster (Anon.)

Original first printing concert poster advertising American jazz fusion guitarist Al di Meola at the P.E. Janson Auditorium in Brussels [Belgium] on Sunday, 15th October, 1978, presented by Fritz Rau and Michael Scheller. Di Meola was touring Europe in support of the Casino album, his third studio album, recorded at Electric Lady Studios in New York City and produced by di Meola himself. The album was released on 25th February, 1978 by Columbia Records, and featured keyboardist Barry Miles, bassist Anthony Jackson, drummer Steve Gadd, and percussionists Eddie Colon and Mingo Lewis. In his AllMusic review, Daniel Gioffre called the playing “sharp and fiery”, and awarded the album 5 stars, although hinting it wasn’t quite as strong as its predecessor Elegant Gypsy (1977).

The poster measures 60.1 x 84.2 cm (approx. 23.7 by 33.1 inches) and is printed on thin, matte-coated paper stock. Light edge wear to the upper right side border, else in near excellent unfolded condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the poster available on request.
