Eulachhalle, Winterthur May 1973 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising English blues singer, guitarist, organist and songwriter John Mayall (1933–2024) at the Eulachhalle in Winterthur [Switzerland] on Sunday, 13th May, 1973, presented by Good News and Montreux Sounds, and with English singer-songwriter and guitarist Michael Chapman as special guest. By this time, Mayall had been busy at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles, recording what was to become Ten Years Are Gone, a double album, produced by Mayall himself and released in September 1973 by Polydor Records. Mayall’s touring band for the Spring 1973 European tour featured guitarist Freddie Robinson, bassist Victor Gaskin, tenor saxophonist and flutist Red Holloway, drummer Keef Hartley, and trumpeter Blue Mitchell.
The poster measures 35.9 x 62.8 cm (approx. 14.1″ by 24.7″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. Neatly folded, else in remarkably near excellent condition.
