Rhein Main Halle, Wiesbaden March 1978 concert poster

Original first printing concert poster advertising Manfred Mann’s Earth Band at the Rhein Main Halle in Wiesbaden [Germany] on Friday, 17th March, 1978, presented by Marcel Avram and Marek Lieberberg’s MAMA Concerts. The concert in Wiesbaden was part of the Earth Band’s Spring 1978 European tour in support of the Watch album, their eighth studio album, recorded at London’s Workhouse Studios and produced by the band themselves. The album was released on 24th February, 1978 by Bronze Records, and included two stand-out recordings from the band’s live performances of “Davy’s on the Road Again” and “Mighty Quinn”. It was the first album recorded with new bassist Pat King, and the final album for both guitarist Dave Flett and original drummer Chris Slade. Watch was a huge hit in Germany, staying 69 weeks in the charts, and receiving platinum status in 1981.

The poster measures 83.7 x 59.2 cm (approx. 33″ by 23.3″ inches) and is printed on thin, uncoated paper stock. There is a faint vertical fold line running down the middle, else in excellent unmarked condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the poster available on request.
