Gürzenich, Cologne March 1999 concert poster
Large original first printing concert poster advertising English keyboardist and composer Jon Lord (1941–2012) at the Gürzenich in Cologne [Germany] on Wednesday, 3rd March, 1999, presented by Concert Cooperation Bonn. The concert in Cologne was part of short German tour during March in support of the Pictured Within album, produced by Guy Bidmead, and originally released in October 1998 on the Virgin Classics label. It was Lord’s first solo album since Before I Forget (1982). Pictured Within featured performances from Sam Brown, Miller Anderson, Pete York and Thijs van Leer. “Wait a While”, one of the few non-instrumental tracks off the album, performed by Sam Brown, was issued as a single in 1999.
The poster measures 59.1 x 84.0 cm (approx. 23.3″ by 33.1″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock.
