Opera, Toulon May 1971 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising American jazz vibraphonist, pianist, percussionist, and bandleader Lionel Hampton at the Opera in Toulon [France] on Tuesday, 4th May, 1971, with an orchestra that featured tenor saxophonists Illinois Jacquet and Chuck McLendon, alto saxophonist Tommy Gambino as well as organist and pianist Milt Buckner.
The poster measures 44.8 x 58.9 cm (approx. 17.6″ by 23.2″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, uncoated paper stock. There is a small diagonal crease to the bottom left corner, else in near excellent unfolded condition. Additional photos available on request.
