1970s Japanese Odeon Records/Toshiba EMI promotional poster
Original first printing John Lennon promotional poster issued by Odeon Records/Toshiba EMI in Japan in the 1970s. Apple Records was manufactured in Japan by Toshiba Musical Industries. Toshiba Musical Industries, the publisher of EMI in Japan (Toshiba EMI), divided classical music into “Angel Records” and popular music into “Odeon Records” in January 1963. The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.
The poster measures 72.8 x 51.4 cm (approx. 28.7″ by 20.2″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. In excellent unfolded and unmarked condition.
