May/June 2000 German concert tour poster
Large original first printing concert poster advertising British progressive rock group King Crimson’s nationwide tour of Germany during May and June 2000 in support of The Construkction of Light – their twelfth studio album, produced by the group members themselves, and originally released on 23rd May, 2000 by Virgin Records. Presented by Shooter Promotions, the 8-date tour commenced at the Musikhalle in Hamburg on 30th May and ended at the Haus Auensee in Leipzig on 14th June. The album was a modest commercial success and failed to chart in the United States, while it peaked at #129 on the UK Album Chart.
The poster measures 59.5 x 84.0 cm (approx. 23.4″ by 33.1″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock.
