Athena: Eleutheros Tupos (Xene Logoteknia ; 12), 1988. First edition. A combined Jack Kerouac/William S. Burroughs anthology, edited and translated into Greek by Giorgos Goutas. The title of the book translates as The Naked Angels. Kerouac’s contributions include “The Philosophy of the Beat Generation” (Esquire March 1958); selections from Book of Dreams; “The Beginning of Bop” (Escapade April 1959); “There’s a Great New Jazz Era Ahead” (Escapade Dec 1960); “Zen is not Letting …” (Escapade Oct 1960); excerpt from “Big Trip to Europe” from Lonesome Traveler; Chapters 4–7 of “Passing through Mexico” from Desolation Angels; and “The Mad Road …” (Escapade April 1961). Unknown number of copies issued December 1988.

Crown octavo (8vo), 14.0 x 20.4 cm, 160 pp. In original illustrated dull-coated wrappers, perfectbound. As new. Additional images of the book available on request.
