Originally published by Grove Press in 1959, Doctor Sax tells the story of Jackie Duluoz, based on Kerouac himself, relating a dream in which he finds himself in Lowell, his childhood home town. Prompted by this dream, he recollects the story of his childhood along with his shrouded childhood fantasies [not in Charters].

Duodecimo (12mo), 286 pp. Green textured paper-covered boards that resembles BF type, unfilled cloth. The front cover and spine are stamped in gilt. The back cover has a Medusa head blindstamped. White gloss-coated dust jacket printed in green, gold and black inks. Light age tanning to inside pages, else near fine in near fine dust jacket. A beautiful copy.
