Originally published by Farrar, Straus and Company in 1963, Visions of Gerard is about Kerouac’s older brother Gerard, who died of rheumatism when the author was four. Considered to be the first in Kerouac’s “Duluoz Legend,” the series of novels featuring the author’s fictional alter-ego Jack Duluoz. Front cover artwork credited to Piotr Chojnacki.
