Original first printing concert poster advertising American rock group Journey at the Hemmerleinhalle in Neunkirchen [Germany] on Saturday, 10th March, 1979, presented by Interteam Tour Promotion and with Canadian guitarist Pat Travers as special guest. The show was part of the band’s Spring 1979 European tour in support of the Evolution album, recorded at Cherokee Studios in Los Angeles under the guidance of producer Roy Thomas Baker and released on 5th April, 1979 on Columbia Records. This was the band’s fifth studio album and the first to feature new drummer Steve Smith replacing Aynsley Dunbar. Evolution was Journey’s most successful album at that time featuring their first top 20 hit, “Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin’” and eventually selling three million copies in the US alone.
The poster measures 58.4 x 83.5 cm (approx. 23″ by 32.9″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. In excellent unfolded and unmarked condition.
