Original first printing concert poster advertising English rock group Jethro Tull at the Hallenstadion Zürich [Switzerland] on Sunday, 20th April, 1975, presented by Good News. The Zürich show was part of the band’s European tour during April in support of the War Child album – their seventh studio album, produced by Ian Anderson and Terry Ellis, and originally released on 14th October, 1974 by Chrysalis Records. Containing the hit singles “Bungle in the Jungle” and “Skating Away on the Thin Ice of the New Day”, the album reached #2 on the Billboard 200, and stayed on the chart for 31 weeks (16 weeks in the top 10). It was certified Gold by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) in November 1974 for sales exceeding 500,000 copies in the US. In the UK, the album peaked at #14 and stayed on the UK Album Chart for 4 weeks.
The poster measures 43.5 x 61.3 cm (approx. 17.1″ by 24.1″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin coated paper stock. Neatly folded twice, else in excellent unmarked condition.
