March 1979 Japanese concert tour program
Large original concert program produced for English rock group Japan’s 6-date Japanese tour during March 1979, kicking off with two consecutive shows at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo on 5th and 6th March and ending at the Expo Hall in Osaka on 11th March, 1979. Presented by Udo Artists, the band was touring in support of the Obscure Alternatives album – their second studio album, produced by Ray Singer, and released on 27th October, 1978 on Hansa Records. Containing the singles “Sometimes I Feel So Low” and “Deviation”, the album was commercially unsuccessful in the UK, but garnered moderate success in Japan, where it peaked just outside the Top 20. For what it’s worth, Obscure Alternatives was remastered and re-released in 2004, and included a video for “Sometimes I Feel So Low”.
In original illustrated coated wrappers, staple bound, 25.6 x 36.5 cm, 36 pp. All text in Japanese. In excellent complete condition, tightly bound and clean.
