September 1984 Japanese concert tour program 

Large original concert program produced for American jazz trumpeter Freddie Hubbard’s (1938—2008) September 1984 Japanese tour, presented by All Art Promotion. Besides the leader himself, the Quintet featured tenor saxophonist Ricky Ford, pianist Kenny Barron, bassist Buster Williams, and drummer Joe Chambers. The 15-date tour commenced at the City Public Hall in Hachinohe on 7th September and ended at the Postal Insurance Hall in Tokyo on 27th September, 1984. Hubbard was touring in support of The Rose Tattoo – an album produced by Fumimaru Kawashima and Makoto Kimata, and released in 1984 on the Japanese Baystate label. This was Hubbard’s third visit to Japan in his own name, having visited in March 1975 with his Sextet and in February 1981 with his Quintet.

In original green and red illustrated coated wrappers, staple bound, 25.5 x 36.2 cm, 20 pp. All text in Japanese.
