Philipshalle, Düsseldorf March 1979 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising Canterbury-scene guitarist Steve Hillage at the Philipshalle in Düsseldorf [Germany] on Wednesday, 28th March, 1979. The concert took place just a few days prior to the release of the Rainbow Dome Musick album. Generally regarded to be too avant-garde to be classified as a new age album and too sleek sounding to fit into any progressive rock subgenres, it remains an interesting album of ambient music, co-written and co-produced with his long-time partner, keyboard player Miquette Giraudy.
The poster measures 59.3 x 83.7 cm (approx. 23.3″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. Tiny pin hole to each corner and light discoloration to the center of the left side border, else in excellent unfolded condition.
