Original first printing concert poster advertising American pianist, keyboardist, bandleader, and composer Herbie Hancock at the Volkshaus in Zürich [Switzerland] on Monday, 18th November, 1974, presented by Good News. Hancock was touring Europe in support of the Thrust album, his fourteenth studio album, produced by David Rubinson, and released on 6th September, 1974, on Columbia Records. The album served as a follow-up to Head Hunters, and achieved similar commercial success, as it reached as high as #13 on the Billboard 200. Hancock’s touring band were identical to the line-up on Thrust, and featured drummer Mike Clark, bassist Paul Jackson, saxophonist and flutist Bennie Maupin, and percussionist Bill Summers. The poster features artwork by legendary Swiss graphic artist Peter Blumer, who worked exclusively for the Good News agency.

Printed by Walter Sprüngli, Villmergen, with the printer’s imprint to the bottom left corner. The poster measures 24.7 x 63.7 cm (approx. 9.7 by 25.1 inches) and is printed on thin, matte-coated paper stock (coated on front only). In excellent unfolded and unmarked condition.
