Original first printing concert poster advertising the Herbie Hancock Quartet at the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg [Germany] on Thursday, 15th May, 2005, presented by Karsten Jahnke, and with jazz pianist Jacky Terrasson as special guest. Hancock was touring with a new quartet which interestingly featured Beninese guitarist Lionel Loueke, exploring textures ranging from ambient to straight jazz to African music. Not long after the European tour had ended, Hancock released Possibilities, his forty-fifth studio album featuring an all-star cast of supporting collaborators, with a different line-up recording together on each of the 10 tracks. Carlos Santana, Paul Simon, Sting, Annie Lennox, Trey Anastasio, John Mayer and Cyro Baptista were among the artists contributing to the project. Released in the United States on 30th August, 2005 by Vector Recordings, Possibilities earned Hancock two nominations at the 2006 Grammy Awards.
