Sportpalast, Berlin March 1971 concert poster

Original first printing concert poster advertising American jazz vibraphonist, pianist, percussionist, and bandleader Lionel Hampton at the Sportpalast in Berlin [Germany] on Sunday, 7th March, 1971. Hampton was touring Europe with his All Star Jazz Inner Circle starring tenor saxophonist Illinois Jacquet and pianist and organist Milt Buckner, but also featuring tenor saxophonist Chuck McClendon, alto saxophonist Tommy Gambino, bassist Eustis Guillemet, clarinetist Bob Snyder, drummer Kenny Bolds, guitarist Billy Mackel, trumpeter Roland Connors, and organist John Spruill. The concert two days later at the Salle Pleyel in Paris (9th March) was recorded and subsequently released in 1992 by Disques Trema.

The poster measures 59.1 x 83.9 cm (approx. 23.2″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed in pink, green and black inks on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. In excellent unfolded condition.
