Hugenottenhalle, Neu-Isenburg April 1980 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising American singer and guitarist Sammy Hagar at the Hugenottenhalle in Neu-Isenburg [Germany] on Sunday, 27th April, 1980, presented by MAMA Concerts. The concert in Neu-Isenburg was part of a seventeen-date European tour in support of the Street Machine album, kicking off at the De Montfort Hall in Leicester on 8th April and ending at the Paradiso in Amsterdam on 7th May, 1980. The support act on most dates was American heavy metal band Riot. Hagar’s touring band featured guitarist and keyboard player Gary Pihl, bassist Bill Church, and drummer Chuck Ruff. Produced by Hagar himself and released in September 1979 by Capitol Records, Street Machine was Hagar’s fourth solo studio album. Containing the singles “Plain Jane”, “This Planet’s On Fire”, and “Straight to the Top”, the album peaked at #71 on the Billboard 200.
