1971 Japanese Atlantic Records/Warner Bros.-Pioneer Corporation promotional poster
Original first printing Emerson, Lake & Palmer promotional poster issued by Atlantic Records/Warner Bros.-Pioneer Corporation in Japan in 1971, presumably. Pioneer established the Warner Bros.-Pioneer Corporation with Warner Bros. Records and Watanabe Productions on 11th November, 1970, and became a new Japanese distributor of Warner Bros. Records releases. In 1972 they changed their name to Warner-Pioneer Corporation and extended their distribution to catalogs of Atlantic Records, Reprise Records, Elektra Records, and Asylum Records, along with other labels owned by WEA.
The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.
The poster measures 72.4 x 51.3 cm (approx. 28.5″ by 20.2″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, dull-coated paper stock. Unfolded, but some foxing to the left side portion of the poster and a number of soft vertical crease lines. There is a tape mark to each corner on the back of the poster.
