October 1971 UK concert tour program
Original vintage concert program for Duke Ellington’s November 1969 nationwide British tour with an ensemble that included Harry Carney, Johnny Hodges, Cat Anderson, Cootie Williams, Lawrence Brown, and Paul Gonsalves. The album 70th Birthday Concert, released on Solid State Records in 1970, was recorded on this tour.
In original gold and black pictorial wrappers, staple bound, 21.0 x 28.4 cm, 24 pp. Program notes by Derek Jewel. Light wear to spine and extremities, else near fine, tightly bound and clean. Additional photos available on request.
