November/December 1979 Japanese concert tour program
Large original program book lavishly produced for Eric Clapton’s November/December 1979 Japanese tour, presented by Udo Artists, Inc. The 10-date tour commenced at the Prefectural Cultural Center in Ibaraki on 23rd November, and ended at the Exhibition Hall in Sapporo on 6th December, 1979. The tour is widely considered one of Clapton’s most significant chapters of his live career. For this tour, Clapton debuted an entirely new, all-British backing band that brought a sharper, tighter, and highly energetic rock-and-blues edge compared to his smoother mid-70s American touring group. The lineup featured guitarist Albert Lee, keyboard player Gary Brooker, bassist Dave Markee, and drummer Henry Spinetti. The concerts at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo on 3rd & 4th December were recorded and eventually released as the live album Just One Night. The album remains praised by critics as one of the finest live rock albums of the era.
In original illustrated gloss-coated wrappers, staple bound, 25.0 x 36.2 cm, 40 pp. All text in Japanese. In excellent complete condition, tightly bound and clean.
