Cirque Royal, Brussels April 1978 concert poster (Anon.)

Original first printing concert poster advertising American jazz pianist and composer Chick Corea at the Cirque Royal in Brussels [Belgium] on Sunday, 2nd April, 1978, presented by Make It Happen. Corea was touring Europe in support of The Mad Hatter — a concept album inspired by Lewis Carroll’s novel Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Recorded at Kendun Recorders in Burbank and produced by Corea himself, the album was released in early 1978 by Polydor Records. For the European tour, Chick Corea was accompanied by a 13-piece band that included vocalist and keyboard player Gayle Moran. Moran was a member of the Mahavishnu Orchestra during the mid-1970s, appearing on Apocalypse (1974) and Visions of the Emerald Beyond (1975).

Printed by Zeefdrukkerij Dictus, with the printer’s imprint the to bottom right corner. The poster measures 35.5 x 82.3 cm and is printed in black ink on thin, coated paper stock (coated on front only). In excellent unfolded and unmarked condition.
