1975 Japanese RCA Records promotional poster for “The Higher They Climb”

Original first printing David Cassidy (1950–2017) promotional poster issued by RCA Records in Japan in 1975 to promote the release of The Higher They Climb – his fifth solo studio album, produced by Bruce Johnston, and originally released in July 1975 on the RCA label. It was the first of three albums on RCA Records after leaving Bell Records. The title of the album alludes to Cassidy’s one-time dominance of the pop charts as a teen-idol and the eventual drop of his superstar status. The album only reached the charts in the UK, where it peaked at #22. The poster features a photo of Cassidy that was originally used for the single “Get It Up for Love”. The singles reached #11 in the UK. The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.

The poster measures 51.3 x 72.8 cm (approx. 20.2″ by 28.7″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. In excellent unfolded condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the poster available on request.
