Published two years after the groundbreaking Naked Lunch, The Soft Machine was originally composed using the cut-up technique partly from manuscripts belonging to The Word Hoard. It is part of of The Cut-Up Trilogy, also known as The Nova Trilogy, and has been heavily revised for editions published in 1966 and 1968.
Small octavo (8vo), 184 pp. In original green and black stiff typographical wrappers. Pictorial dust jacked printed in red and black, designed by Brion Gysin. Fine in near fine jacket. A beautiful copy which appears unread. Additional photos available on request.
