1983 Japanese RCA Records promotional poster

Original first printing David Bowie promotional poster issued by RCA Records in Japan in 1983 to promote the release of the Let’s Dance album as well as the Japanese leg of the “Serious Moonlight” tour. The poster features a photo taken by Greg Gorman. It is from a photo session in Los Angeles on 15th January, 1983. The Japanese tour kicked off with four consecutive concerts at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo on 20th October and ended at the Prefectural Gymnasium in Kyoto on 31st October, 1983. The tour garnered mostly favorable reviews from the press and was, at the time, Bowie’s longest, largest and most successful concert tour to date, selling over 2.6 million tickets worldwide. The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.

The poster measures 51.5 x 72.7 cm (approx. 20.3″ by 28.6″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. In excellent unfolded and unmarked condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the poster available on request.
